New Regulations on Immigration Fees and Charges effective from April 1, 2026

I. Fees for Visas and Other Documents Valid for Entry, Exit, and Residence for Foreigners:

II. Cases Exempt from Fees and Charges

a) Guests (including spouses and children) invited by the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, or their leaders in a personal capacity.

b) Officials and employees of foreign diplomatic missions, consular posts, and representative offices of international organizations in Vietnam and their family members (spouses and children under 18), regardless of passport type, provided they are not Vietnamese citizens and do not permanently reside in Vietnam, on a reciprocal basis.

c) Exemptions under international treaties to which Vietnam is a signatory or on a reciprocal basis.

d) Foreigners entering Vietnam to perform humanitarian relief or aid for Vietnamese organizations or individuals.

đ) Issuance of visas or temporary residence for exit purposes to foreigners who have violated Vietnamese law and are being handled but lack financial capacity, provided their home country's representative office does not cover the cost or does not have a mission in Vietnam.

e) Issuance of special visa exemption cards for foreigners under special categories prioritized for socio-economic development.

g) Cases for reasons of national security, foreign affairs, or international integration not covered by points a, b, and c above.
